Habitat and description:
Abrogation, of African descent, extends into the Sahel and Sudan. It is also present in Central and Eastern Africa.
Abutilon is a woody herbaceous plant with a fluffy surface, gray-white in color, very branched, 1 to 2 m high. It has large leaves, simple, alternating, rounded, with irregular crenelated or toothed edges. Axillary flowers are solitary or end-group, with five yellow gold petals and many stamens united in a tube. The fruit is capsular and contains 4 to 6 oval-shaped seeds.
